The YTCA Under 17 team ended their UK with an unbeaten record as they defeated Tynemouth Cricket Club by the Duckworth Lewis method in a rain affected game played at Tynemouth grounds in Newcastle.
YTCA won the toss and elected to bat and were in trouble after losing early wickets at 34 for 4 but some great middle order batting by Nagarjuna Hegde with 41 , Rahim Soomro with 37 and Abhiraj Khatwani with 36 restored order and they scored 211 all out in 44 overs. Tait took 5 for 50 with his fast and accurate bowling.
Sharjah Young Talents Cricket Academy emerged supreme in the Sharjah Cricket Council-organised Inter-Academy cricket tournament.
Young Talents won the under-13 and the under-16 titles at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. In the under-13 final they defeated Al Ain Sportplex Cricket Academy by 10 runs while in the under-16 they beat Zayed Cricket Academy by 50 runs.
